Gastroenterology has operated as a non-independent department for 20 years as part of the Department of Internal Medicine. From 15 November, 2021 it continues its operation as an independent organizational unit called Gastroenterology Clinic. It means a very modern, a pioneering form of patient care in Hungary. The number of the gastroenterology patients are increasing, the examinations done by medical instruments are evolving and the demands on them are growing.
The Gastroenterology Clinic is responsible for the treatment of patients with various diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, bile ducts and liver accordingly to the progressivity levels of II and III. Upper and lower endoscopic examinations, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, stent insertions, endoscopic ultrasound, small bowel endoscopy, and capsule endoscopy are also done here. Biological therapies are also available for those patients whose bodies do not respond to traditional treatments. The clinic also takes part in the colonoscopy program which is currently being implemented withing the framework of the EFOP-1.8.1-VEKOP-15-2016-00001 complex public health screening priority project. The country’s largest patient center and two European reference centers are accredited for the treatment of acute and chronic liver diseases (EF-CLIF,, Chronic Liver Failure Centre, 2016 and ERN-RARE LIVER, European Reference Networks, Rare Liver Diseases Centre, 2019). We take part in the care of patients with gastroenterological and hepatological problems, too in the post-COVID Specialty Clinic Networks.
The Gastroenterology Clinic continues its operation in two locations.
The inpatient ward with 55 beds is located in the Building of Emergency and Gastroenterology at Nagyerdei Campus with the hepatology specialist consultations and liver elastography laboratory. Our Post-COVID (Gastroenterological) specialist consultations are also take place here.
The gastroenterological outpatient care, the biological therapy outpatient unit and the endoscopic examinations of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract and bial ducts are still take place in the Building B of the Department of Internal Medicine.
The Department of Operative Techniques and Surgical Research belongs to the Institute of Surgery. The Department is located in two buildings (Building “A” and “B”) on about 1,300 square meters. The Department pursues a wide scale of educational activities and programs both at graduate and postgraduate levels (basic surgical techniques, basics of microsurgery, basics of laparoscopic surgery and related courses), as well as research activities on several fields, including hemorheology, microcirculation, ischemia-reperfusion and novel surgical techniques.
Keeping and valuing the traditions, scientific and educational treasures is and has been an important aim of the Department, thus the following museums and permanent public exhibitions have been established to facilitate these efforts: Museum of Surgical Suture Materials, Exhibition of Surgical Staplers’ History, Sun Lee Microsurgical Museum, Memorial Place for Janos Veres, Extra Gallery.
Pulmonary medicine deals with respiratory illnesses, researches the causes and origins, and attempts to detect the illnesses early. As a result, they cause sudden and slowly occurring lung damage. Viruses, bacteria, fungi, cigarette smoke, allergens, powders and gases can all enter the lungs and in addition to contagious fever, can cause long-term lung damage, resulting in pulmonary fibrosis or asthma. Modern pulmonary medicine is able to discover the appearing diseases early and treat them effectively. Pulmonary medicine has a role in treating lung damage caused by other illnesses in cooperation with other medical areas. Since many lung diseases are chronic, the care of these patients is also performed by pulmonology: asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, chronic respiratory failure. It is worthwhile to turn to a pulmonologist as the disease causing chronic damage can be discovered in a timely manner and the previously reduced functions can be properly monitored, rehabilitated and restored.
The spacious French-style park, complete with stairs, fountains and promenades, located outside of the main building of the university, built over a hundred years ago, is one of the most imposing public spaces in the city.
The square and the boulevard in front of the central building of the University of Debrecen were both designed by József Borsos, the chief architect of the city, in 1932. The two sides of the park are lined by the bronze statues of some of the major intellectual figures of the city and the university – Péter Méliusz Juhász, reformed bishop, Gál Huszár, the founder of the first printing house in Debrecen, Albert Szenczi Molnár, Bible translator and psalm writer, as well as György Komáromi Csipkés, Bible translator and theologian – unveiled in 1934 and 1938. The six, larger-than-life nude sculptures were placed along the fountain standing in the middle of the square in 1964-65. On summer evenings, the fountain is illuminated in a multitude of colors. It is a tradition that students take bathe in the fountain when they graduate.
The Department of Emergency Medicine is located on the Nagyerdei Campus, at the old building of Surgery Clinic I. from June 2021.

Professional fields:
The Faculty of Pharmacy currently consists of six departments including the Pharmacodynamics, Biopharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Surveillance and Economics, Clinical Pharmacology.
NephroCare is the service brand of Fresenius Medical Care. It provides services in dialysis centres in more than 30 countries.
The two divisions of the Department of Oncology, Radiotherapy and Oncology, provide the widest spectrum of care for cancer patients. In terms of radiotherapy, the department provides state-of-the-art local and regional radiation therapy for both solid and hematological malignancies. Due to the linear accelerators installed in 2013 and 2015 intensity-modulated radiation therapy can be given which significantly reduces radiation exposure of surrounding healthy tissues and it is implemented with modem image-guiding technology. In certain special cases, when surgery is not possible, radiosurgery can also be performed. High level quality assurance is also connected to these procedures that guarantees safety and repeatability.
The Department of Oncology is responsible for the systemic treatment of solid tumors (especially breast cancer, colorectal cancer and other gastrointestinal tumors, head and neck tumors, soft tissue tumors, nervous system tumors and uro-oncological tumors), chemotherapy, endocrine therapies, biologically targeted therapies and immunotherapies. The prescription and use of IV therapy takes place using a quality assured system (CATO). We provide a wide range of opportunities for our patients to access clinical tests, further extending the therapeutic range and the opportunities for healing.
The personalized treatment decisions are made in onco-teams, where the representatives of fields related to oncology and the staff of diagnostic departments plan the most optimal therapy for the patient. The psycho-oncology outpatient clinic of the Department of Oncology helps people cope with the mental symptoms related to the disease in the form of individual and group therapy.
The Kenézy Mansion was built in 1936. Originally it was the house of Professor Gyula Kenézy, gynaecologist, founder of the Medical Faculty of the Hungarian Royal Academy. Since 2005 it has been functioning as a conference centre. Today it is the home of the Collection of Medical History and of the Professors’ Club.
University restaurant offers meals for students and as well as for university staff in the form of daily menus or a la carte.
Vegetarian or gluten free options are also available.
Department of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery:
The department has been providing inpatient and outpatient services for close to ninety years in the region. Today it provides treatment for patients in modern and well-equipped outpatient clinics and comfortable hospital rooms (with a bathroom, fridge, TV, air conditioning) with a low number of beds.
Besides the general pediatric and adult otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery outpatient clinic, specialist consultation is provided for Hungarian and international patients in the fields of audiology, phoniatrics, rhinology, otoneurology, and plastic surgery. With the introduction of the most up-to-date, minimally-invasive procedures patient care requiring short-term care has become possible.
The operating theatre block and instrumentation that are of outstanding quality in Hungary contribute to successful recovery. The following should be mentioned as the key regional and national responsibilities of the department: endoscopic, minimally-invasive otorhinolaryngology surgeries, the use of laser, radio frequency, and argon plasma technologies, head and neck cancer surgery, oncological function retaining surgery.
In the last years, besides surgery to treat hearing loss, hearing rehabilitation operations were also introduced including bilateral cochlear implants, bone-anchored hearing aids, and middle ear implants. Patients are treated by highly-qualified physicians.
The Department of Nuclear Medicine provided a wide scale of diagnostic procedures by gamma cameras, and radionuclide therapy.
The PET Center - first in Hungary - performed positron emission tomography, together with the production of positron-labeled radiopharmaceuticals.
A few years earlier joined the department the "In vitro" Division, a former part of the Central Servicing Laboratory that provided a beta-measuring facility for various departments of the MHSC.
The patient service is now run by a private subcontractor ScanoMed Ltd, operating a TOF PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and several dedicated gamma cameras. The two parties together have been accredited as a training centre by the European Association of Nuclear Medicine.
The Department of Ecology teaches basic and advanced courses in ecology and conservation biology. Research interests are in quantitative and conservation ecology, focusing on (i) quantitative methods to describe diversity patterns, (ii) long-term ecological processes and spatial heterogeneity in aquatic and forest ecosystems, and (iii) restoration and management of aquatic and terrestrial habitats to increase landscape biodiversity. The Department oversees long-term research at the Síkfőkút LTER Site and in the World Heritage Hortobágy National Park, contributes analytical and synthetic knowledge in biodiversity research at other UD departments and coordinates such research in several national parks.

The cardiology division of the Department of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery at the Clinical Center of the University of Debrecen Teaching Hospital has been providing treatment for patients with cardiovascular diseases in Eastern Hungary for decades. During these years the Department has managed to provide high-quality care for an increasing number of patients in a building continuously extended to meet the increased demand. Therapeutic guidelines change but one thing has remained the same in the last 30-40 years: the unwavering desire to heal patients.
With a staff of 186 people (including physicians, nurses, and service staff) the Department strives to make inpatient and outpatient care as tolerable as possible.
The activities of the Department cover the entire range of procedures in modern cardiology.
The average monthly number of patients is 645 in the case of inpatients. 142 of these patients are treated in intensive care and 503 at the active cardiology department on 14 beds in the intensive care unit and 112 in the active department.
In the two electrophysiology and two hemodynamic operating rooms the staff uses diagnostic and therapeutic methods currently known in invasive cardiology, constantly keeping up with the fast-developing profession.
Since January 5, 2015, in collaboration with the Gyula Kenézy Hospital and Clinic, the Department has been operating an early cardiac rehabilitation department with a full capacity of 15 beds. The annual number at the cardiology outpatient clinic is more than 6,200 cases/month. Besides the cardiology clinic the Department also operates diabetology, Holter, stress ECG, arrhythmia, and pacemaker clinics. Within the institute a trans-telephonic ECG system had also been introduced, which has become an integral part of inpatient and outpatient care related services. A good indicator of the effectiveness of the work at the Department is the AMI (STEMI, NSTEMI) mortality rate which was 4.22 % in 2014-2015 (national average: 7.52%).
The physicians and healthcare professionals of the Department participate in further education programs and conferences several times a year where they present their research findings thus contributing to successful healing and the sharing of experience. The researchers of the Department are working to find the reason of numerous heart diseases by studying the cardiac muscle cells so that they can become familiar with the development of the diseases, the factors influencing their course, and therapeutic options.

The staff of the department is involved in the anesthesiology and intensive care of all surgery departments at the University of Debrecen. There are close to one hundred specialists and trainee specialists working at the forty nine anesthesiology units of the Clinical Center at the university, providing pain relief and general anesthesia for 20,000 surgical procedures on average annually. In terms of intensive care, our colleagues are employed in all surgery-related intensive care units.
During the last decades, the Clinical Center of the University of Debrecen Teaching Hospital has been dedicated to providing appropriate conditions for safe anesthesiology and intensive care. In line with this, modern instrumentation is available at all of our units, meeting the requirements of our time. As a result instrumentation of departments at the Clinical Center is competitive internationally as well. With the continuous training and improvement of our staff, we aim to guarantee a high standard of work and the introduction of new and modern treatments that improve the safety of our patients.
The prerequisite for safe anesthesia for surgery is to have the patients arrive at the operation in the most optimal condition and after the best pre-operative preparation. Our anesthesia outpatient departments are operated exactly with this purpose in mind. At these units the health condition of a patient is assessed based on the recommendations of an experienced specialist and the patients are prepared for surgery accordingly.
Besides providing patient care, our department is also responsible for the training and further education of specialists in the region, coordinating the activities of the five counties in North-Eastern Hungary in this field. With regular regional training programs, courses, and an annual conference (Anesthesiology Days in Debrecen) we strive to contribute to the professional development of our staff.
Similarly to all other university centers, it is the duty of the Department of Anesthesiology as well to contribute to the improvement of the profession by means of quality research as well. For this purpose the department runs independent PhD programs. Scholarly work at the department is coordinated by one Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and seven senior researchers holding a PhD. Besides the coordination of research carried out by the department staff, it is our mission to involve colleagues working in the region in our research projects.
The Department of Surgery at the Clinical Center of the University of Debrecen Teaching Hospital is one of the largest institutes of surgery in the country offering the widest range of procedures. Currently, we treat patients on 129 beds with 40 physicians working at the department. With the medical supervision of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, we treat patients on an additional 18 postoperative intensive care beds. The department is located in the beautiful Great Forest in a new and modern building opened in 2006 as part of the Auguszta project using facilities of a high European standard.
Within the field of general surgery, our key areas of specialization include the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases (stomach, colon, liver, pancreatic diseases), providing care for the surgical diseases of the thyroid and parathyroid, as well as breast, gallbladder, and hernia surgery.
Vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, and kidney transplantation are some of our special areas of care.
We perform more than 5,000 surgeries a year and meet patients at eight outpatient clinics every year. Our patient satisfaction indicators have reflected a 90-95 % positive experience in recent years.
The Department of Neurosurgery at the Clinical Center of the University of Debrecen Teaching Hospital performs the full range of neurosurgery procedures as a regional center. Besides continuous outpatient services, inpatient care is provided on 33 general and 8 intensive care beds. Besides the basic neurosurgical procedures, we perform numerous specialized operations as well:
Complex surgical treatment of tumors
Pediatric neurosurgical profile
Treatment of vascular malformations with both open surgery and endovascular procedures (aneurysms, AV malformations, AV fistulas, cavernoma)
Complex spine surgeries
Gamma radiosurgery treatment
Endoscopic treatment
Functional neurosurgery profile (treatment of movement disorders with deep brain stimulation, treatment of pain syndromes with stimulation, treatment of spasticity with selective dorsal rhizotomy and with implantable drug delivery pump, complex epilepsy surgery)
High-level and specialized surgical care is supported by a variety of technical devices as well, including intraoperative neuronavigation, intraoperative CT / X-ray, intraoperative electrophysiology, modern surgery microscopes and endoscopic instruments.

In order to heal our patients and improve their quality of life, we apply all technical equipment and theoretical knowledge at our disposal in a coordinated way. As a result, we treat our patients with technical equipment that is outstanding in Europe, linear accelerators (4 units at our department), which allows us to treat the tumor with great precision and protect the surrounding healthy organs, minimizing the side effects of the treatment. In case of stereotactic treatments, it is possible to deliver high doses, which may replace surgical procedures. During brachytherapy (in our institute mainly gynecological patients), treatment can be carried out with CT-based planning, which makes it possible to determine the precise dose distribution. In addition, at the Radiotherapy Department of our Clinic 9 specialists, 5 physicists and 22 x-ray technicians help the recovery of the patients. At our 30-bed in-patient facility, equipped with air conditioning and bathrooms, 13 highly qualified nurses are waiting for the patients, who are admitted based on prior consultation – taking into account the urgency of the case. In addition to physical symptoms, mental status and the level of mental health are also of crucial importance in the fight against cancer. The onco-psychologist of the Radiotherapy Department of the Oncology Clinic, Medical Center, University of Debrecen, provides assistance in this; through the guidance of a professional there are many opportunities to assess, preserve or treat the status of mental health. Besides antineoplastic therapy, the care of healed patients is also of great importance. Our clinic provides opportunity for this through an organized appointment system. Moreover, the smooth functioning of the Radiotherapy Department is assisted by psychologists, physiotherapists, administrators, hospital porters and receptionists.

The department is responsible for guaranteeing the operating procedures for hygiene at the Clinical Center. Based on a pre-arranged schedule, it completes hygiene-related site inspections at the different organizational units. It operates the Central Sterilizer, issues and updates the Disinfection Guidelines. It supervises disinfecting cleaning and washing, catering for patients and staff, as well as insect and rodent control.
It performs nosocomial infection surveillance at the intensive care units of the Clinical Center, continuously monitors multi-drug resistant pathogens and infections caused by Clostridium difficile associated with the use of antibiotics. It provides on-site advising and supervision in connection with the isolation of infectious patients. In the case of multiple infections, it initiates an epidemiological investigation.
Hand hygiene is of primary importance as the most important infection control method for avoiding the transfer of nosocomial infections is hand disinfection. The department monitors the use of hand sanitizers and uses posters to improve the compliance of staff with hand hygiene rules. Hand hygiene compliance is measured annually by means of direct observation.
The Department is currently operating with 50 beds. The mean number of post-operative care days is four, but a large number of ambulatory surgeries are performed on top of that as well. A considerable amount of patients are coming from certain other regions of Hungary, the capital city and even from abroad. The reason for this probably lies in the up-to-par medical attendance and the surgical interventions which are up-to-date even in international terms. Routine surgeries are performed on a daily basis. To keep the attendance efficient, staff members receive continuous training.
The Department has a modern, well-equipped operating suite with three operating rooms. For the nursing care of patients, double rooms are available which have been recently opened and are equipped with bathrooms and private lockers. The outpatient department operates with three consulting rooms.
In addition to the graduate training, the Department actively takes part in the residency training program as well. Postgraduate courses are offered to both residents and specialists. The medical staff of the Department participates in numerous congresses taking place in Hungary and abroad. Despite the fact that the main profile of the Department is medical attendance, more and more collaborating departments to conduct common research.
Head of Department: Tibor Flaskó, MD, PhD, associate professor.

Currently, we primarily use psychotherapeutic tools at the Department of Psychiatry. The main objective of patient care is to restore psychological functions as fully as possible. The psychotherapy department has 22 places for rehabilitation and the daytime-care hospital can accommodate 11 patients visiting the institution regularly. The regional care for outpatients is provided at specialized outpatient clinics (mood disorders, panic disorder, gerontopsychology, addiction treatment, psychotherapy). We offer professional consultation for all other departments of the clinical center. The weekly program is created based on the work of four psychiatrists, four psychologists, eight nurses, and four psychotherapy assistants. The operation of the inpatient and day-time care divisions is separated. In the inpatient division, besides the three weekly cognitive behavior therapy groups, once a week there is relaxation, mindfulness, anxiety, problem-solving, fairy tale, music, and animal assisted therapy. There are also morning exercises and creative workshops every day. Patients at the day-time care hospital can participate in diverse socio-therapeutic sessions with a psychotherapeutic approach. The therapy of a patient lasts for at least four weeks and it can be extended. Patients participating in the program can realize significant changes in their way of thinking as a result of therapy, they report changes in their personal relationships, their communication skills are improved, along with their ability to handle stress, which enables them to return to their original living space and work more successfully, or to look for new job opportunities.

Debrecen Summer School as a Language School for Foreigners
Unique among Hungary's similar language institutions, this summer school draws upon a great and long-standing tradition. Established in 1927, it has grown to become the biggest Hungarian summer school. Each year more than 1,000 students from 30-40 countries are taught by a team of about 50 experienced instructors who specialize in teaching Hungarian to foreigners.
Debrecen Summer School Involved in Diffusing Knowledge of Hungarian Culture
Debrecen Summer School specializes in teaching Hungarian as a foreign language and diffusing knowledge of Hungarian culture. Its mission is to help its students pursue specific aspects of the Hungarian language and culture in depth. Disseminating the cultural values of any given nation is an inalienable part of teaching that nation’s language. Consequently, the cultural programs offered at Debrecen Summer School’s courses greatly contribute to the success of the primary task, teaching Hungarian. That is why most of our courses include events which serve to provide entertainment value as well as information about Hungarian culture and also opportunities to study the language in an informal way.
DSS as a Practice Venue for Trainee Teachers
Exploiting its unique position, DSS aims at taking an increasing role in the training of university students who pursue a career in teaching Hungarian as a foreign language. In accordance with an agreement with Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church, would-be teachers studying at that institution can do training practice at DSS’s courses as of 2011. The purpose of the training practice is to provide trainees with practical teaching skills (e.g. lesson preparation and planning, classroom management, teacher’s roles, surveys, and research). It also includes presenting a deeper knowledge of the field of education (e.g. school life and management) as well as efforts to train students in the assessment, development, and research of the learning process so that they can perform more efficiently in their future jobs.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE SECTION
The main purpose of establishing the Section of Foreign Language Studies was to reach back to the roots of our school. The new program will provide Hungarian students with a novel study format to help them gain usable knowledge on a volunteer basis, in as relaxing an environment as possible, and not only during the summer term. The gist of the idea is a notion of mutual understanding and respect stipulating that we can only expect others to express interest in Hungarian if, in return, we also show sufficient openness to other languages of similar socio- or geo-political status. This is why we have selected a very peculiar set of foreign languages (Czech, Greek, Modern Hebrew, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Swedish, and Turkish) to appear on our imaginary menu. These languages very rarely or never appear in the course catalogues of modern Hungarian educational establishments. It is not by mere chance that we have opted not to launch the new project in the direction of more popular European or global languages. Not only can “lesser-known” and “rarely-used” languages appeal to adventurous high-school or university students. We do hope that they can also serve as a bridge between our school (as an institution specializing in teaching Hungarian as a Foreign Language) and overseas organizations “in the same boat,” which may foster relationship-building as well as professional dialogue. It is our firm belief that we can only become a fully-fledged member of the European Union, which invests so much in the principle of multiculturalism, if we pay the same amount of respect for other nations as we expect them to have for us.
In accordance with this and DSS’s well-tested earlier practices, foreign-language classes also feature small groups (4-12 students). Practical language usage and civilization-related issues enjoy top priorities in syllabuses. Classroom-based teaching is usefully supplemented by a year-round system of “tandem chat” sessions.

Agricultural higher education in Debrecen started in 1868 with the foundation of the National Higher Economic School of Debrecen. This date marks the beginning of agricultural higher education in Debrecen and East Hungary. Between 1876 and 1906 the institute's official name was Secondary Economic School. Then it was run under the name Hungarian Royal Academy of Economy until 1944. Between 1944 and 1949 our institute went on with its work as the Debrecen Department of the Agricultural Sciences at the Hungarian Agricultural University. In 1953 tuition began again at the Agricultural Academy. Training of professionals reached University level between 1962 and 1970 at the Agricultural College. Between 1970 and 1999 the institute got its university title and as the Agricultural University of Debrecen it operated with two branch faculties (Szarvas, earlier Hódmezővásárhely, later Mezőtúr).
The University of Debrecen was established with five university-, three college faculties and three research institutes on 1st January, 2000. In 2002 the Faculty of Agriculture and Rural Development was established, and by 2006, the university had comprised 15 faculties.
The museum has two permanent exhibitions: 'Our agricultural heritage - Peasant farming in the Great Plain in the 18th and 19th centuries' and the institutional history exhibition 'Traditions of Agricultural higher education in Debrecen'.
With over 4200 registered students this is the largest Faculty of the University of Debrecen. There are courses offered in 6 higher-level vocational training courses, 9 courses at B.Sc., and 10 courses at M.Sc. levels. In addition to the B.Sc. courses with agribusiness profiles, the educational portfolio of the Faculty comprises B.Sc. level courses in the fields of business, agriculture, and economics as well. The Faculty also provides training in sports management.
The mission of the Faculty of Economics and Business is to engage in such educational, research and development activities in the region that satisfy the expectations of the national economy and agriculture.

Our Thrombosis and Hemostasis Center provides care on the regional level for severe thromboembolism and patients with inherited bleeding disorders. The examination, and in case necessary the care, of hematological and non-hematological rare diseases is provided on the national level.
The complete range of hematological care is available at our institute. We provide regional care for non-malignant hematological diseases. We are a regional center for malignant onco-hematology patients (lymphoma, leukemia, aplastic anaemia, myelodysplastic syndrome). Apart from this we are a national center for haemopoetic stem cell transplantation. Autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation of these patients (the latter since May 2016) is available in our Hematopoietic Transplantation Center. The center has JACIE accreditation to provide the highest level of service, and we are among the 2 centers in Hungary that are licensed to administer CAR-T cell therpy. The center is also able to provide cell based therapy for transplant related viral diseases.
The specialist outpatient clinic covers the following diseases: general rheumatology, systemic autoimmune conditions, non-differentiated polyarthritis, arthritis, systemic sclerosis, osteoporosis, spondylarthropathies, psoriatric arthritis, gout.
In collaboration with the Arthritis Foundation, the Rheumatology of the Internal Medicine Department has been organizing a patient forum annually since 2008 in connection with the World Arthritis Day on October 12. Those interested can listen to lectures and presentations from experts in rheumatology and related fields. The presence and active involvement of the staff of the Rheumatology at the Internal Medicine Department also characterizes the events and programs organized by the Arthritis Patients Club in Debrecen, which works in close cooperation with the patient organizations of North-Eastern Hungary.
Our institution has been supportive of various social organizations established by people living with rheumatic diseases while we are also devoted to helping patients through health preservation and health promotion lectures and the publication and distribution of educational materials.
At national medical conferences, it is a priority both for our physicians and health care professionals to share our knowledge in connection with rheumatic diseases and to provide information both within and outside the profession about new medical achievements and innovations.
We perform and promote our healing work nationwide in the spirit of "the symbiosis of 21st-century patient care, research, and teaching dedicated to the patients."
